1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to Valoris Consulting LLC ("Valoris," "we," "us," or "our") and to information processed through valorisconsulting.net, the Valoris client and partner portals, connected financial accounts, consulting engagements, business funding services, and related communications.
This policy does not replace the privacy notices of QuickBooks, Plaid, banks, lenders, or other third-party services. Their processing is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
2. Information we collect
Depending on the services you request, we may collect:
- Contact and account information, including names, business names, email addresses, phone numbers, login identifiers, and referral relationships.
- Business information, including industry, ownership, operations, revenue, goals, debt, expenses, and funding needs.
- Financial and accounting information, including account balances, transactions, chart-of-account information, financial statements, invoices, bills, receivables, payables, customers, vendors, liabilities, and cash-flow information.
- Documents and application information, including bank statements, tax returns, debt schedules, licenses, formation documents, identification, and information supplied for a commercial funding application. Some documents may contain sensitive personal information.
- Communications and engagement records, including messages, document requests, lender submissions, responses, offers, declines, and consulting notes.
- Technical information, such as browser type, device information, IP address, timestamps, security logs, and basic website usage data.
We collect information directly from you, from people you authorize to act for your business, from connected services you choose to link, and from service providers or funding sources involved in a requested engagement.
3. Connected financial data
Valoris connects to QuickBooks Online and supported bank-data providers to read authorized financial information. Valoris does not use these connections to move money, initiate payments, or change your QuickBooks books.
When you connect QuickBooks Online through the Financial Data Hub, you authorize Intuit to provide Valoris with the accounting data you approve through Intuit's authorization screen. We receive access tokens rather than your QuickBooks password. Access tokens are kept on the server and are not returned to your browser.
QuickBooks purpose restriction: Valoris uses connected QuickBooks data only for financial consulting, analysis, and reporting in the Financial Data Hub. We do not use connected QuickBooks data for lender matching, funding applications, underwriting or credit decisions, and we do not include or share it in lender submissions. A separately requested funding service uses only information and documents separately provided or authorized for that funding workflow.
When you connect a bank or card through Plaid, Valoris may receive account, balance, transaction, and liability information made available by your financial institution. Valoris does not receive or store the credentials you enter into the provider's connection interface.
You can disconnect QuickBooks from the Financial Data Hub and other linked sources from their applicable Valoris account screen. Disconnecting stops future access and removes the locally stored connection credentials. You may also disconnect Valoris from within the applicable provider. Previously generated reports or engagement records may remain until deleted under our retention practices or upon a valid deletion request.
4. How we use information
We use information to:
- create and administer client, team, and partner accounts;
- provide financial analysis, reporting, scenario modeling, consulting, document review, and support;
- identify trends, discrepancies, risks, cost savings, refinancing opportunities, and other business insights;
- prepare, at your direction, commercial funding materials and communicate with lenders or funding providers;
- authenticate users, maintain connections, prevent fraud, investigate misuse, and secure the service;
- maintain records, respond to requests, enforce agreements, and comply with law; and
- improve the reliability and usability of our services using appropriately limited information.
Valoris does not sell personal information or connected QuickBooks data. We do not use connected financial data for unrelated advertising. The permission to share separately authorized funding materials with a lender does not extend to connected QuickBooks data.
5. Automated analysis and artificial intelligence
Valoris uses software rules and may use third-party artificial intelligence providers to help read documents, organize financial information, identify patterns, and draft narrative explanations. Deterministic calculations are kept separate from AI-generated explanations where practicable.
Relevant portions of information may be sent to contracted technology providers, including AI providers, solely to perform services for Valoris. Automated output may contain errors and is reviewed or should be verified against source records before it is used for a material business, financing, tax, legal, or accounting decision.
6. How we share information
We may disclose information:
- to hosting, authentication, storage, communications, document-processing, accounting-integration, bank-data, analytics, and AI service providers that support the Valoris service;
- to referral partners according to the permissions associated with the engagement;
- to lenders, brokers, funders, or other financing sources when you direct or authorize Valoris to seek commercial financing or submit materials;
- to professional advisers, auditors, insurers, regulators, law enforcement, courts, or other parties when reasonably necessary to protect rights, investigate misuse, or comply with law;
- in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of all or part of the business, subject to appropriate protections; or
- for another purpose that we explain and you authorize.
Funding providers make their own decisions and operate under their own terms and privacy practices. Only authorize a funding submission after reviewing the intended recipients and information to be shared. Connected QuickBooks data is excluded from that funding submission workflow.
7. Retention and deletion
We retain information only as long as reasonably needed to provide the services, maintain engagement and transaction records, resolve disputes, meet contractual obligations, protect the service, and satisfy legal or regulatory requirements. Retention periods vary based on the information and purpose.
You may request deletion of your Valoris account or information by contacting us. We will verify the request and delete or de-identify information where required and reasonably feasible. We may retain limited records when required by law, needed to document an authorized transaction, or necessary to establish or defend legal claims. Information held by a lender or another independent third party must be requested from that party directly.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, authenticated portals, server-side credential storage, and separation of public interfaces from protected records. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If you believe your account or information has been compromised, contact us promptly and disconnect affected financial connections when appropriate.
9. Your choices and rights
You may:
- decline to connect QuickBooks or a bank account and provide documents instead;
- disconnect a linked account at any time;
- ask to access, correct, or delete information associated with your account;
- ask us not to submit information to a lender or other third party; and
- unsubscribe from nonessential marketing communications.
State or other applicable law may provide additional privacy rights. We will not discriminate against you for making a valid privacy request.
10. Cookies and website technology
We may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies that are necessary for login, security, preferences, and basic site operation. Third-party services used by the site may also process technical information under their own policies.
11. Children's privacy
Valoris provides business services and is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. International processing
Valoris is based in the United States. Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate, subject to applicable contractual and legal protections.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes may also be communicated through the service or by email when appropriate.
